ABOUT THE STAMP IN THE
FOREIGN PASSPORT

IMPORTANT TO KNOW!

Many Ukrainians abroad have panicked because of the lack of a stamp on leaving Ukraine in their passports. But it is important to know: in most cases, this is not a mistake.

According to current regulations, Ukrainian border guards do not automatically stamp Ukrainian citizens with a border crossing stamp. They can only do so upon personal request.

Therefore, if there is no exit stamp in your passport, this does not in itself mean that you left illegally or have problems with your documents. Information about border crossings is stored in the electronic databases of the border guard service.

This topic is currently being actively discussed, as some countries may ask you to confirm the date of departure from Ukraine. If you do not have a stamp, it is worth keeping other documents that confirm your trip: tickets, boarding passes, reservations, or other confirmation of border crossing.

DO NOT PANIC.
The absence of a stamp in the passport for citizens of Ukraine is a common practice, not a violation.
